Haven’t even moved in yet, this is solely based on customer service:
I’m going through a difficult situation and need a storage unit to hold my non-necessities as I stay with family for a few weeks. I was flustered when signing up for my rental and ..somehow? Misread the message saying my payment went through as “didn’t go through”. Paid for 2 separate units and only signed 1 lease. I sent an email just saying that I did not need both, asking if anything can be done. They called me immediately and were SO kind. I fully expected to not get the entire payment back. Maybe a fee? Maybe a “sorry, best we can do is apply it to next months rent.” And I was fully okay with both of those because it was MY GOOF that I was asking them to fix. They said they were working to refund it all to my account. And told me to swing by the office for my “complimentary bag of coffee offered to new renters”. Completely changed the vibe of the terrible day I was having. Thank you!“
